When the Heart is Down, and the Soul is Heavy

 

When the heart is down and the soul is heavy, the eyes can only speak the language of tears.

Without warning, the soul is heavy and the heart is down.

Without understanding, that's the way it is.

Though everyone knows that there's no help for such a condition.

Though everyone understands what it means to have the heart down,

the soul heavy only speaks of tears.

Without any choice, we're all bound to be as we are;

without knowing anything about why so.

Without anyone to ask or anyone to tell us where to look—when our eyes are

full of tears and our souls are heavy.
