Whatever We Think

 

Fear gives intelligence even to fools

who have no other recourse.

It is the only time we see something

we don’t know, or haven’t thought of yet.

Without fear, we would never fly.

Fear gives us wings. Fear pushes us to places

we can't imagine going without it.

Fear tells us what to do and what to say.

It tells us when to move forward and when to stay still.

It keeps us from moving too fast, knowing that if we fall,

there's no floor below us.

Fear tells us when to stop and when to start.

It tells us that we are not alone in our journey,

but that there is someone with us all the way.
