The Poet Speaks
Everything is tolerable but
your silence shouts in my ears.
Without your voice I feel lost,
trapped in a cave.
Without your voice I feel like
I can’t breathe.
I need to hear you shout,
I need to hear you sing,
I need to hear you whisper,
or nothing will be right
ever again.
When we are together all I want is for
the world to stop spinning around us.
Without you I am nothing.
Without you I am a shell of
myself.
Without you,
the world is
just one big and empty place.
