I’m sorry for being alive, for taking up space

 

I’m sorry for being here and eating the food

 

I’m sorry for being a girl and walking home alone in the dark

 

I’m sorry that I have to drink water from the tap,

 

that I have to shower and pee, use electricity, flush my toilet.

Without me, you would be able to sleep a little longer.

I’m sorry for being alive, for wearing your clothes and sitting at your table.

 

I’m sorry I don't fit the mold of what you want me to be.

 

I’m sorry that my thoughts and feelings are different than yours.

 

I'm sorry that I exist.
