If I were a tea bag,
If I were a tea bag,
I’d be all crinkling and resilient.
I’d have to be put in hot water
to
reach my fullest potential.
And I’d have to pick the right kind of water
—not too hot, not too cold.
I would want a good amount of
steep
time for myself.
My color would be light brown with some red tones,
like cherry wood furniture or macchiato.
And when I was done,
I’d want a good
amount of time to cool down.
I would be the kind of tea that everyone needs—
strong enough to be brewed but not too strong.
