The Ocean-

The ocean is everything I want to be.

Beautiful, mysterious, wild and free

It is soft and hard, dark and light

A place of refuge where I can be myself.

I love the ocean so much it hurts.

And when I am at my lowest point, 

it lifts me up.

It is constant cause for celebration, 

to fill me with wonder.

The ocean holds all my memories. 

It has taken me on journeys-

From the time I first set foot in it, 

to the day I made my way back 

to shore, walking on water-

The ocean makes me feel infinite.  

It is a part of me that will always be there:

The Ocean.
