The Unvanquished
A multifaceted person
Who has faced very many turmoil
during life Earth quakes floods droughts
movements struggle detention
separation of subcontinent
division of country
and yet is undeterred and
standing by principles to prevail
To overcome all adversities with
words of wisdom and compassion
We must be like the unsung heroes
who defy all odds to survive
No matter how many hurdles we face in
our lives we shall not give up
We are the descendants of those
who built this country
on principles of unity and diversity.
