The Quack -- Akshr
quacks have killed me, could not meet physician
have enhanced my pains merely by piercing
my ears, have made me nauseous with mint
have told me to relax while they recited
their rote nonsense have kept me doubled over
with their false promises have had no cures for my
sleepless nights & restless days have given me bad advice,
stirred up in me self-doubt & despair, in fact:
it is said that the world is a series of circles but I fear
that it is just a straight line. that there are those who believe in nothing
& yet still have the audacity to call themselves doctors.
