“There is more hunger in the world for love and appreciation in this world than for bread.”
The world is vast and wide, so full of strife
and human pride,
Where hunger pangs are felt, but often
overlooked inside,
For love and appreciation, a craving deep and
wide,
That echoes through the ages, a cry that
cannot subside.
The bread we crave, a physical need, so plain
to see,
Is but a shadow of the love we yearn to be,
A symbol of our longing, a fleeting, earthly
delight,
But love, the essence of humanity, shines with
all its might.
In every corner of this earth, we find the
same despair,
A hunger for connection, a yearning beyond
compare,
For love to heal the wounds, to mend the
broken heart,
To fill the empty spaces, and play its part.
So let us not forget, in our daily, mundane
grind,
To nourish love and appreciation, and let our
hearts be kind,
For in the end, it's not the bread we eat, but
love we share,
That will sustain us, and show we truly care.
