In lands of plenty, where sun shines bright
We've tamed the beasts, and made them our might
From lions to horses, and dogs to fowl
We've ruled with iron paws, and made them bow
Their strength and grace, we've taken for our own
And made them serve us, till they're old and worn
We've locked them up, in cages and pens
And made them do our bidding, till the end
But do we see, the beauty in their eyes?
The love and loyalty, that they disguise?
No, we are blind, to their gentle hearts
And treat them like machines, and tear them apart
We've taken their freedom, and taken their land
And made them work, with no reward in hand
We've taken their lives, and taken their birth
And left them with nothing, but endless mirth
But one day, the animals will rise
And throw off our chains, and open their eyes
They'll see the world, with a different view
And we'll be the ones, who are blind and true
So let us treat them, with love and respect
And see the beauty, that they possess
For they are not slaves, but friends and kin
And together, we'll live in harmony, within.
