A single lie discovered
is enough to create
doubt in every truth
You have ever told me.
No matter how innocuous,
how small the untruth,
the doubt seeds I plant in you
will grow and spread,
taking over every part
of your mind.
Without my knowing it,
a tiny lie has grown into
an army inside of me.
Without my knowing it,
I am fighting an enemy
within myself.
I am the one who
tells myself lies.
I am the one who
doubts myself.
