The Other Side of Love  

Love is a two-way street constantly under construction

where the hearts of lovers are buried in the foundation

and those who've never loved are still digging.

Without love, I want to be an outsider who sees inside

the house and understands what is happening; 

but it's too late— I'm already on the other side of love.

Without love, I want to be a cold-hearted voyeur 

peering through windows at my neighbors' lives; 

but it's too late—from now on I'll only look out.

Without love, I want to be a stranger who can't find 

my way home even though I know the way; 

but it's too without love—

I'm already on the other side of love.
