Much unhappiness has come into the world
because of bewilderment and things left unsaid.
Without intending to,
I’ve hurt you.

I’ve betrayed
myself and others.

I’ve been mean
and cruel.

I’ve been
thoughtless and self-absorbed.
I see now how much love has come into the world
because of bewilderment and things left unsaid.
I wish there were a way for me to take back
